Regardless of Moore’s point-of-view & opinions, it’s an interesting thing to think about where comics were when Watchmen hit & the directions it’s taken since.
There’s seemingly some truth to what he says about the Big-Two & I guess DC in particular, but I wonder if Moore takes into account that Watchmen wouldn’t have been what it was without the context of the industry it was borne into — and not just the content of the book itself. That has to also inform one’s comparison between the effects Watchmen had on the medium & others’ current works.
